Dr. Dean Winslow, a U.S. Air Force flight surgeon and current professor of medicine at the Stanford School of Medicine, spoke Wednesday, Nov. 9, about his time in Afghanistan and Iraq in a lecture titled, “From Bagram Airfield to Baghdad and Back Again—A U.S. Military Doctor's Experience in Two Wars.” Frequently teary-eyed when discussing patients and colleagues and occasionally humorous and irreverant, he drew the audience to their feet clapping in the end…
