Three Earn Recognition at College of Pharmacy
Jeannie Lee, PharmD, associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science with a cross-appointment in the College of Medicine – Tucson, recently received a Certificate for Outstanding Contribution from the Arizona Geriatric Education Center (AzGEC). This certificate recognized her service as pharmacy faculty leader for a five-year AzGEC grant which was completed in July. According to the AzGEC website, the center aims to “improve the health and wellbeing of seniors by educating and training health-care professionals in the special health care needs of this rapidly growing group.” Others recently recognized include Asad Patanwala, PharmD, and Heidi Mansour, PhD. Nominations for Founders Day Speaker in 2015 Due Sept. 30
The UACOM-T was dedicated Nov. 17, 1967. The Founders Day lectureship was established in 1979 to commemorate that date and to recognize and honor our faculty for their scientific accomplishments. Each year a well-established, nationally recognized faculty member is honored and asked to deliver the Founders Day lecture. All nominations should be submitted no later than Sept. 30.
