Past ATS President Dr. Nicholas Hill Launches 2016 Winter Lung Series Conference

The first speaker in the Winter Lung Series Conferences, the world-renowned Nicholas Hill, MD, gave his presentation today in Room 8403 of the College of Medicine – Tucson.

Dr. Hill is a professor of medicine and chief of the Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Division at the Tufts University School of Medicine and Tufts Medical Center in Boston and a past president of the American Thoracic Society.

His topic Thursday was “Group 2 Pulmonary Hypertension: A Conundrum Wrapped in an Enigma.”

Dr. Hill also took the time to sit down (right) for a roundtable discussion with our fellows in the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program.

The next presenter in the Winter Lung Series will be G.R. Scott Budinger, MD, from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., near Chicago, on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, from noon-1 p.m., in Room 103 of the BIO5 Institute’s Keating Building.

Dr. Budinger is a professor of medicine and cellular and molecular biology, as well as the Ernest S. Bazley Professor of Airway Diseases, at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine. He’s also chief of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care, Northwestern Memorial Hospital (and Prentice Women's Hospital).
