It’s a week until showtime for Banner – University Medicine North, the new outpatient clinical facility for the Banner – University Medical Group.
On Dec. 28, 2017, the first adult health clinics will reopen at 3838 N. Campbell Ave., Building 2, nestled between the UA Cancer Center North Campus’ Peter and Paula Fasseas Cancer Clinic and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona.
Photo galleries on the University of Arizona Department of Medicine’s Facebook webpage offer a virtual tour from multiple points of view since early December.
The galleries illustrate a series of preview guided tours held for physicians and clinical staff beginning Nov. 27. Department faculty and staff attended tours on Dec. 4 and 5. A public “Preview Event” was held on Dec. 11 that was well attended by media, patients, physicians, and clinical and administrative staff.
DOM Chair Monica Kraft, MD, and Tammy Clark Ojo, MD, vice chair for clinical affairs, attended a tour on Dec. 21 (picutured above right) to see the setup for how different clinics would work and the flow of traffic between units would function. Others featured in earlier tours include Raj Janardhanan, MD (pictured below right in middle), with the Division of Cardiology and UA Sarver Heart Center, and John Galgiani, MD (pictured below left with hands in pockets), with the Division of Infectous Diseases and UA Valley Fever Center for Excellence.
Many thanks to division business managers (particularly Lorraine Glazar), department assistant administrator Angela Castillo and tour guide Cody Edam, project manager, Banner Health Development & Construction, for help in coordinating those tours.
