In addition to sign-ups for physician tours of the new Banner – University Medicine North outpatient care facility adjacent to the University of Arizona Cancer Center’s Peter and Paula Fasseas Cancer Clinic at North Campbell Avenue and Allen Road—an open house breakfast will be held Monday, Dec. 11, 7:30-9 a.m.
The breakfast is being billed as a “Preview Event” for patients and the general public. To RSVP, click here or on the image on the right.
UA Department of Medicine faculty are asked to contact their division or center’s lead administrative associate to schedule a separate individual or group tour. Opportunities for these physician tours began Nov. 27.
Ambulatory adult health services associated with the department and other clinical operations moving to the new $100 million, 200,000-square-foot, three-story facility—construction for which began two years ago—will start during the UA winter break between Christmas and New Year’s Day. The address is 3838 N. Campbell Ave., Building 2.
A parking garage is behind the new building. To reach the entrance, you must drive past the ambulatory building on Allen and turn left. Please reference the campus map provided in the flyer available here [PDF] or by clicking on the image at the left. Also in the flyer is a list of services available at the new site.
Plans are for each clinical area to pack, move and open within three days. All clinics are expected to be moved and fully operational again by mid-January. A sample of informational cards sent to patients to inform them of the move can be found here [PDF].
Look for additional details soon on other plans to ease the transition for the overall shift of clinics to Banner – University Medicine North campus, including services to remain at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson hospital campus adjacent to the UA Health Sciences colleges, aka University campus.
