A number of University of Arizona student-athletes with the Wildcat Football team will be at Brother John’s restaurant in Tucson on Friday evening, July 21, to support cystic fibrosis research and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Southern Arizona.
Recently graduated UA tight end (#17) Josh Kern tweeted about the event, saying on Twitter: “Although my time with @ArizonaFBall & @UpliftingAth has come to an end doesn't mean my fight vs CF has...” (@KernJosh17).
The host is the UA chapter of Uplifting Athletes, which has chapters at 25 universities across the country. The nonprofit organization inspires the rare disease community with hope through the power of sport. Its national network of chapters is run by current football student-athletes. The Arizona chapter started in 2014.
Come meet the players and support their efforts to help find remedies to rare diseases.
