The UA Division of Dermatology outpatient offices at Casas Adobes Plaza are moving in six weeks to coincide with consolidated clinical and administrative operations for the division within Banner – University Medical Group at a new location at 7165 N. Pima Canyon Drive.
“The Division of Dermatology at the University of Arizona is pleased to be opening the doors of our new building at Pima Canyon,” said James Sligh, MD, PhD, associate professor of medicine, chief, Division of Dermatology, and associate director, UA Skin Cancer Institute.
“With the investment of our clinical partners at Banner Health, we will have a new home for our clinical and educational missions. This beautiful new building will enable our doctors to deliver comprehensive dermatological care to our patients.”
The new location, formerly occupied by a financial services firm, is adjacent to the new temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7281 N. Skyline Dr., at the cross-section for Pima Canyon Drive, Ina Road and Skyline Drive.
The current clinic, at Banner – UMG Casas Adobes (Dermatology), 7005 N. Oracle Road, will be shuttered after the move. Patients for dermatologists Vivian Shi, MD, and Sierra Wolter, MD, as well as Carolyn Bangert, MD (far right), and Robert Segal, MD, will be able to see their physician at the new Pima Canyon site starting on June 4.
Next, transitioning from the UA Cancer Center – North Campus, patients for Dr. Sligh, Clara Curiel-Lewandrowski, MD, and Dr. Segal (at left), will be able to see their physician starting the week of June 11 at the new site.
Services for Mohs surgery patients will remain at North Campus along with dermatologic surgeons Jason DuPont, MD., and Duane Whitaker, MD.
Also expected to move to the Pima Canyon site are Mary Dickinson, Dermatology residency and fellowship senior program coordinator, and Angelica Bonfiglio, division administrative assistant.
Dr. Curiel is expected to maintain offices at the UA Cancer Center for research purposes related to the UA Skin Cancer Institute, for which she serves as an Executive Committee member and director, Cutaneous Oncology Program (COP). Dr. Sligh also is associate director of the institute.
Dr. Wolter has a pediatric dermatology clinic hosted by the Banner – UMG Pantano physician offices that will not be impacted by the transition. Dr. Curiel's COP clinics will not move from North Campus either for now.
