Deadline: Information Security Awareness Training Required by April 30

All-employee security awareness trainingEvery day, cyber hackers design more sophisticated phishing schemes with the hope of gaining access to University systems, employee’s personal data, and resources. Ensuring that the entire UA community is properly trained to spot such attacks and ensure that the information we hold stays secure continues to be a high priority for University of Arizona.

All UA employees, faculty, student workers, and Designated Campus Colleagues (DCCs) with UA NetIDs are required to complete online Information Security Awareness training by April 30, 2019.

Training has been available since January and over 4,500 UA employees have already received their certification.

To Complete Your Training:

  • Review the step-by-step security awareness completion instructions at: https://security.arizona.edu/awareness-instructions
  • Login to UAccess and click ‘Learning’. Your “My Learning” tab on the UAccess Learning home page is a central repository for classes in which you are currently enrolled, including the information security training.
    ​​○ Faculty, staff and student workers have been auto-enrolled in this class as a time saving measure!
    ○ UAccess is now mobile responsive and allows for learning to be completed from anywhere and on any device.

Tips for Completion

  • The training is divided into 4 short modules and is 38 minutes total in length. You can complete the training in one sitting or pause and return at a later time.
  • For best performance, launch the training in either Firefox or Chrome web browsers and ensure that pop-ups are enabled.
  • Once training is completed, within 24 hours you will receive an email confirmation. Your completed certification will be recorded in UAccess analytics and available to departments.
