Echocardiography team earns decade-long honors for accreditation

The Echocardiography team in the Division of Cardiology and Sarver Heart Center recently was spotlighted in the Leadership Update newsletter of Banner – University Medicine Tucson for recognition it had received for continuous accreditation from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission, or IAC.

Through the team’s dedication to quality and the stewardship of Manya Denman, associate director of cardiac non-invasive services, the program has earned 10-year Green Milestone Recognition for continuous accreditation in adult (2013) and pediatric (2008) echocardiography.

The Division of Cardiology is one of 12 divisions in the Department of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and is part of the Sarver Heart Center.
