SPEAKER: Eyal Oren, PhD, MS, Assistant Professor, Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, University of Arizona
TOPIC: "Targeting Latent Tuberculosis Infection in Southern Arizona"

A Fellow of the American College of Epidemiology, Dr. Oren is an epidemiologist interested in infectious disease, with an emphasis on respiratory health. He is interested in multidisciplinary, community-engaged approaches to addressing population health disparities and collaborative work that is innovative and emphasizes new tools and technologies. Methodologically, his focus is on the intersection between social, environmental, and spatial epidemiologic methods, and their application to both health differences and disparities.

He earned his doctorate and master's degrees in epidemiology (including a Certificate in International Health) from the University of Washington, Seattle, and completed his undergraduate studies in neurobiology and behavior (concentration in cognitive science) from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.
