Indu Partha, MD

Dr. Partha did her undergrad studies in biological sciences at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif., and earned her medical degree at the University of California, San Diego. Her residency training in internal medicine was at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., near Chicago. She was an assistant professor of medicine, Division of Primary Care, at Loyola University Health System in Chicago before moving to Tucson in 2004, and worked as an internist at University Medical Center (a predecessor to Banner – University Medical Center Tucson) and Northwest Allied Physicians until joining the UA College of Medicine – Tucson faculty in 2015. 

Dr. Partha is now a core faculty member in internal medicine at the UA and Banner – UMC Tucson. Among her other roles, she is the faculty lead for the Internal Medicine Residency Continuity Clinic at Banner – UMC Tucson and South hospitals and chair of the IM Continuity Clinic Committee at Banner – UMC Tucson; member, Clinical Competency Committee and Program Evaluation Commitee, UA Internal Medicine Residency Program – Tucson Campus; member, Education Committee, UA Department of Medicine; faculty mentor, Clinic Quality Improvement Project for "Transitions of Care from Inpatient Discharge to Outpatient Appointment" and "Time from Check-In to Physician," Banner – UMC Tucson and South. She also is a steering committee member and social media liaison for Women in Academic Medicine, faculty mentor/founder of the Women in Medicine group for female IM residents, a CBI Instructor – Life Cycle, Societies Mentor, Preparation for Residency Bootcamp Course director and Learning to Lead Program member  at the UA College of Medicine – Tucson.

In addition, she's a co-correspondent for Stanford Magazine, of the Stanford Alumni Association, and served as an alumni board member for the UC-San Diego School of Medicine (2002-06).
