Join us Friday, June 21, at the Clinical Trials Development Workshop, a free professional development event aimed at clinical investigators of all experience levels looking to increase clinical trial working knowledge. University of Arizona and Banner Health faculty, fellows, residents, and clinical trials support staff are encouraged to attend.

Hosted by Rachna T. Shroff, MD, MS, FASCO, associate dean of clinical and translational research, interim clinical affairs director, and division chief of hematology/oncology at the UArizona Cancer Center, the event brings together experienced physicians and basic scientists across UArizona Health Sciences.

Speakers include experienced clinical investigators, regulatory experts, and basic scientists to give you a peek behind the scenes of the clinical trials landscape. All in-person attendees receive continental breakfast, all-day coffee, and lunch.

Rapid Fire Clinical Trials Panel Discussion

This year’s event concludes with a Rapid-Fire Clinical Trials Panel Discussion from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Upon registration, submit questions about navigating the clinical trials landscape at the College of Medicine – Tucson for our panelists to answer at the event. Among the panelists are: Daniel C. Butler, MD, associate professor and director, Inflammatory & Aging Skin Research Program, Division of Dermatology, and assistant dean, Student Affairs, College of Medicine – Tucson; Sairam Parthasarathy, MD, professor and chief, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine, director, Center for Sleep, Circadian and Neuroscience Research, UA Health Sciences, and medical director, Center for Sleep Disorders, Banner – University Medicine Tucson; and Aaron J. Scott, MD, associate professor, Division of Hematology & Oncology, and co-leader, Clinical & Translational Oncology Program, University of Arizona Cancer Center.

Jason Wertheim, MD, PhD, Vice Dean, Research and Graduate Studies for the College of Medicine – Tucson. Dr. Wertheim is a professor in the Department of Surgery and the Department of Biomedical Engineering.

Rachna Shroff, MD, MS, Associate Dean for Clinical and Translational Research for the College of Medicine – Tucson. Dr. Shroff is a professor and chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine, and interim clinical affairs director at the UArizona Cancer Center.
