This workshop is part of a program to support the research career development of faculty, particularly early-career faculty, in the University of Arizona Department of Medicine.
Our September session, presented by Franz Rischard, DO, was focused on how to leverage existing resources to jump start a clinical research career.
Next in our series, we will address the topic of how to identify research mentor(s).
For this, we will draw from a panel of speakers who are also outstanding research mentors:
Elizabeth Connick, MD
Professor of Medicine and Immunobiology
Chief, Division of Infectious Diseases
Program Director, Infectious Disease Fellowship
Juanita Merchant, MD, PhD
Regents Professor and Professor of Medicine
Chief, Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology
Interim Director, University of Arizona Cancer Center
Sai Parthasarathy, MD
Professor, Medicine
Chief, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine
Director, Center for Sleep, Circadian and Neuroscience Research, UA Health Sciences
Medical Director, Center for Sleep Disorders, Banner – University Medical Center Tucson
