Presenter: Dr. Moe is a distinguished Professor of Internal Medicine and Physiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He serves as the Director of the Charles and Jane Pak Center for Mineral Metabolism and Clinical Research, where he plays a vital role in education, clinical practice, research, and administration. His research focuses on renal physiology, mineral metabolism, and epithelial biology, with a particular emphasis on disease-oriented studies. His work addresses critical areas such as nephrolithiasis (kidney stones), electrolyte disorders, metabolic bone diseases, and extrarenal complications of chronic kidney disease. Through his investigations, Dr. Moe contributes to a deeper understanding of these conditions, advancing both scientific knowledge and clinical care. Beyond his research, Dr. Moe is an active educator at local, national, and international levels. His dedication to training the next generation of medical professionals and researchers underscores his commitment to advancing internal medicine and nephrology.
