Dr. Huthayfa Ateeli was born and raised in Palestine. At his high school graduation, he was awarded a full academic scholarship to attend Mu’tah Medical School in Jordan for having earned the second highest GPA. Later, he spent two years at King Hussein Cancer Center in Jordan as a transitional resident and was an active member and facilitator for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) of America. Dr Ateeli finished his internal medicine residency at the University of Arizona (Tucson Campus) in 2015, serving as the designated quality and research chief for the internal medicine program for 2014-15 academic year. His interests included delirium prevention, post ICU neuropsychiatric disorder and high-value care. Afterward, he was picked as one of four chief residents for 2015-16 and, then, completed a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the UA in June 2018. Post-graduation, Dr. Ateeli left for South Dakota, where he planned a career in private practice.
