Laila Abu Zaid, MD, was born and raised in Saudi Arabia. She received her medical degree from the University of Jordan in 2009 and did her residency in internal medicine at the University of Arizona (Tucson Campus), graduating in 2015. She served as the academic chief resident for internal medicine for 2015-16 and, then, completed her fellowship training in endocrinology at the UA. Afterward, she left for a group practice in Sioux Falls, S.D. In her free time, Dr. Abu Zaid enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her husband and young daughter.
