Neil M. Ampel, MD

Before retiring as a professor emeritus, Dr. Neil Ampel was an infectious disease specialist in Tucson, Arizona, affiliated with Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Health Care System. He received his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Now affiliated with the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, he was one of two doctors at Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Health Care System who specialize in Infectious Disease. Dr. Ampel successfully completed his ACLS certification in 2012.
