Nicholas Dembitsky, MD

A former UA internal medicine chief resident, Dr. Nicholas Dembitsky grew up and completed high school in San Diego, Calif. He subsequently moved to Boulder, Colo., to complete his undergraduate degree. Looking to learn a new language and combining his curiosity for medicine, he decided to forgo the traditional medical school route and applied solely to foreign medical schools. He completed medical school at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (where he met his wife) and completed an additional year at New York Medical College. His medical interests are in pulmonary and critical care. He enjoys life with his wife and their son. After graduating, he headed to San Diego to pursue private practice. When not in the hospital, he can usually be found in the ocean, hiking in the mountains or pursuing his various hobbies.
