Ubair Ahmed, MD, FACP, FCCP, joined the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson faculty in 2024 as an assistant professor of medicine in the Department of Medicine where he will be working with medical students in the ambulatory medicine clerkship program at Tucson Medical Center. He earned his medical degree at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, and moved to the United States after completing his internship at the Dr. Ruth K. M. Pfau Civil Hospital there. He did his internal medicine residency and pulmonary medicine fellowship training at NYC Health's Harlem Hospital Medical Center in New York, where he also was chief resident. His critical care medicine fellowship training was at the Bronx's Montefiore Medical Center. Afterward, he worked at Sierra Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista, AZ (2007-10), and Tucson Pulmonology at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson (2010-23) before joining TMC Pulmonology at Tucson Medical Center in June 2023.
