Marion Henry, MD, MPH, joined the faculty as an associate professor in the UA Departments of Surgery and Pediatrics in November. She came to Tucson from Naval Medical Center San Diego, where she was a commander in the Medical Corps.
A study by scientists at the University of Arizona Cancer Center and Cancer Research UK has found that the loss of a specific tumor suppressor in “triple-negative” breast cancer provides clues about potential new approaches to treatment. The results were published on Jan. 30 in the journal Cell Reports.

University of Utah pulmonary chief Robert Paine, MD, was the presenter Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Winter Lung Series Conference held at noon in the UA College of Medicine – Tucson auditorium, Room 8403.
David G. Marrero, PhD, director of the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center for Border Health and professor of public health at the UA Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, has been appointed to a new national diabetes working group and task force to promote equitable and comprehensive diabetes care.
As interim deputy dean for diversity and inclusion she serves as chief diversity officer for the UA College of Medicine – Tucson, and, with key stakeholders, will develop a sustainable plan for implementation of clear college-wide policies and strategies pertaining to diversity and inclusion.

Data sharing in clinical trials will be examined by Jeffrey M. Drazen, MD, editor-in-chief of the New England Journal of Medicine in a free presentation, open to the public, on Thursday, Feb. 8.
The lecture will be held 5 to 6 p.m. at the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, 1295 N. Martin Ave., Drachman Hall, Room A114.
