Francisco García, MD, PhD, postponed his second year of medical school to research the link between diet and breast cancer with senior researchers at the UA Cancer Center.

Among various mentions in local and national media for physician faculty and programs affiliated with the UA Department of Medicine for the past month are the following:
Julie Ebersole, RN, MSN, OCN, an experienced leader in ambulatory cancer-care settings, has been hired by Banner – University Medical Group as executive director for Oncology Services in Tucson. She starts on Dec. 7.
Dr. Lance is professor of medicine, molecular and cellular biology and public health at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He also serves as co-director of Cancer Prevention and Control and is the director of the Arizona Clinical and Translational Research and Education Consortium, Tucson Program at The University of Arizona Cancer Center.
Dr. Lance specializes in the treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal cancers. He serves as the principal investigator for several National Cancer Institute sponsored clinical trials.
Ravi Krishnadasan, MD, is professor of clinical medicine at the University of Arizona Cancer Center. He received his medical degree at St. George's University School of Medicine, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Norwalk Hospital/Yale University School of Medicine. He earned his fellowship in hematology oncology at Yale University School of Medicine.
He worked as an assistant professor of medicine at Brown University for three years before joining the University of Arizona College of Medicine and UA Cancer Center hematology/oncology section.
