The Annual Scientific Retreat of the University of Arizona Cancer Center hosted in the Health Sciences Innovation Building on Nov. 15 drew 180 researchers and scientists. DOM’s Juanita Merchant, MD, PhD, center interim director and GI division chief, offered welcoming remarks and Dermatology division chief Clara Curiel-Lewandrowski, MD, presented as well. The keynote was given by  Amelie Ramirez, DrPH, UT Health San Antonio professor, chair of the Department of Population Health Sciences and director of the Institute for Health Promotion Research.
