University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson associate professor of radiation oncology, Charles Hsu, MD, PhD, has been selected as medical director of the University of Arizona Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office. This appointment fills a role previously held by Rachna Shroff, MD, MS, FASCO, who is now serving as associate director of clinical investigations for the Cancer Center.

Studying Valley fever trends over several years, a team at the Valley Fever Center for Excellence at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson has created a forecasting tool to determine when the illness is spiking in the community. Data for July indicate that Arizona is now in a Valley fever season.
