Lying perfectly still for an hour in a magnetic resonance imaging machine isn't anyone's idea of fun. But for some patient populations, such as those suffering from the tremors that come with Parkinson's disease, it's practically impossible.
The University of Arizona hockey team will host its annual “Pink the Rink” cancer-awareness game Saturday, Jan. 19, at 7:30 p.m., when the Wildcats will sport pink jerseys honoring individuals who have suffered from cancer, during their game against the University of Central Oklahoma. The game will take place at the Tucson Arena, 260 S. Church Ave.
Applications are being sought by the Arizona Area Health Education Center at the University of Arizona for up to 10 projects for funding in amounts up to $5,000.
