The University of Arizona is currently engaged in a campus-wide strategic planning process. Over the past four months, nearly 5,500 members of the Wildcat family in Tucson and around the world have engaged in a conversation to advance the university. Now, it’s the UA Health Sciences’ turn. Relocation of support staff and some physicians moving to new office space will begin tomorrow, May 9, for folks in the University of Arizona Department of Medicine. Other key DOM dates include May 21 and May 23. The shifts into former outpatient clinic space (6OPC and 7OPC) were facilitated by the clinics’ move to Banner – University Medicine North in December and a need to make way for the new 9-story hospital tower at Banner – UMC Tucson. The University of Arizona Health Sciences and Banner Health have received a $9 million award from the National Institutes of Health for the All of Us Research Program. The program, which will total $60 million over five years, represents the largest NIH award in Arizona history and is tied to an effort to enroll 1 million or more participants across the country.
