Dr. Mercer Awarded National Outstanding Medical Student Educator

Yolanda Mercer, MDWe are delighted to announce that Yolanda Mercer, MD (Class of 2014; Graduate Medical School: University of Arizona), has been awarded the National Herbert S. Waxman Award for Outstanding Medical Student Educator for 2015! Students who worked with Dr. Mercer generated letters for the National Awards Committee regarding her ability to educate, mentor and lead by example. Dr. Yolanda “Janie” Mercer is a graduate of the University of Arizona, with a BS, Summa Cum Laude, and an MD in 2011. She has continued here as a resident and now as a Geriatric Fellow. Congratulations Dr. Mercer for her good work, and for highlighting nationally our Arizona commitment to outstanding medical attention.
