UA Sarver Heart Center, Proteomics Lab Launch New Webpages

Redesigned homepage for UA Sarver Heart CenterThe University of Arizona Department of Medicine in July celebrates new and redesigned affiliate websites with the launch of a reformatted UA Sarver Heart Center website and new webpages for the UA Proteomics Lab.

The first was released in late June—the second were completed in early May.

The UA Division of Cardiology functions largely through the UA Sarver Heart Center, is now on the same web platform as other sites within the UA College of Medicine – Tucson. Center communications director Katie Maass asks that those surfing its webpages please contact her if they see anything that requires correction or clarification.

The Proteomics Lab, headed by director Paul Langlais, PhD, also is known as the UA College of Medicine Quantitative Proteomics Laboratory. It’s affiliated with both the UA Division of Endocrinology, for which Dr. Langlais is an associate professor, and the UA Health Sciences Center for Disparities in Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism (CDDOM), of which Dr. Langlais is a member.

New webpages for UA Proteomics LabDr. Langlais, in his address at the DOM Research Seminar on June 14, gave a brief overview of the lab’s capabilities and its importance in assisting researchers across the UA Health Sciences colleges. He and Larry Mandarino, PhD, Endocrinology chief and CDDOM director, presented on the lab also at the Innovations & Inventions Research Fair held last fall as part of the college’s 50th anniversary festivities. More recently, the lab was the “Shared Resource Highlight” in the UA Cancer Center Newsletter’s July 2018 issue.

You’ll find links for the lab on the Division of Endocrinology’s Research section, under the DOM Research tab at the top of each departmental webpage (for a quick link, mouse over the tab to view a dropdown menu) and on the UA Cancer Center’s Research | Shared Resources webpage.

Again, browse the website for more information and, if you see anything that requires a fix, please contact CDDOM administrator Oscar Parra.

You’ll find the UA Sarver Heart Center and CDDOM sites both listed among a baker’s dozen on the departmental Centers & Institutes webpage as well.
