Banner Alzheimer’s to host brain health expo Nov. 11 in English, Spanish

[Banner Alzheimer's Institute in Tucson]TUCSON, Ariz. – Banner Alzheimer’s Institute will hold a free, bilingual “Brain Health Expo” from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Nov. 11, at the facility located at 2626 E. River Road adjacent to the Hacienda at the River retirement community.

[An older gray-haired white man with a physician's coat and a younger bald man wearing a dress shirt and tie]Activities in English and Spanish include a presentation, “8 Steps to Brain Health,” by Steven Rapcsak, MD, a professor emeritus with the Department of Neurology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Tucson, and Jeremy Pruzin, MD, a Banner Health neurologist. Participants can have a free memory screening and take part in chair yoga.

This community health fair includes free screening for dementia and chair yoga. The event will also include a Dementia Friends workshop, to help people better understand what it’s like to live with dementia, and how they can help.
