GI brings back Holiday Photo Booth for reprise on sharing seasonal cheer

[Image of flyer for the 2024 GI Photo Booth, hosted by the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, on the sixth floor of the U of A College of Medicine – Tucson]The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology is reprising it’s Holiday Photo Booth, which made its debut last year as a way to add a lighter moment of joy during the end-of-year holiday season.

The photo booth is the idea of GI Fellowship coordinator Maria Longoria, who brought it in from home. It includes two backgrounds and multiple props (hats, masks and other celebratory items).

“Our GI division staff loves spreading joy, and the holiday photo booth has become a cheerful tradition!” Longoria said. “Last year’s inaugural run filled the hallway with laughter and smiles, reminding us that a little holiday fun can go a long way in brightening everyone’s day.”

All are welcome to stop by and shoot selfies to share with everyone in the Department of Medicine – or not. Keeping them for your own personal pleasure is okay, too. Sharing has been made easier this year via a weblink Longoria set up to more easily collect shots in a virtual photo album on Kululu, an event photo/video sharing app that makes the process easy and free with a QR code hyperlink to gain access. No app download, registration or signup is required.

Feel free to bring your own photo props to augment the selection. And be sure to return those props you’ve used so others can enjoy them, too. You might even get some Mexican hot cocoa, if you're there early.

As you're uploading photos to the Kululu site via cell phone, you can also add a caption and tell them who shot the photo. You can even add videos. To view the photo/video album, click here.
