UA Study Confirms Self-reported Sleep Duration an Accurate, Useful Health Measure in Children
Although sleep questionnaires commonly are completed by children and their parents, a lack of data exists demonstrating the validity of such self-reported sleep measures.
A new study, however, indicates that these sleep reports are relatively accurate and their results vary only slightly from polysomnography results, or overnight sleep studies.

Researchers to Compete in ‘Shark Tank,’ Demo Technology, More at Research Day, Feb. 13
TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona researchers will go head-to-head for a $10,000 prize on Wednesday, Feb. 13, in a shark tank-style competition hosted by the UA College of Medicine – Tucson.
Innovative ideas will be pitched to a panel of “sharks,” a cast of UA celebrity judges who include UA President Robert Robbins, MD; the competition will be emceed by UA Provost Jeffrey Goldberg, PhD.
