UArizona Health Sciences Study Seeks to Understand Relationship among Endometriosis, Infertility and Stroke in Women

TUCSON, Ariz. — Endometriosis is a chronic, often painful, gynecological disorder affecting 10% to 15% of U.S. women of childbearing age in which tissue normally lining the uterus grows outside the uterus, causing higher incidence of miscarriages and infertility and greater risk of stroke.

UArizona and Covid Watch Launch COVID-19 Exposure Notification App

University of Arizona students, faculty and staff can now download and opt in to the Covid Watch exposure notification smartphone app, which allows users who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 to anonymously notify others who may have been exposed. After a successful pilot, the goal is for the app to be used statewide.

UArizona Health Sciences’ $3M in Cancer ‘Moonshot’ Funding to Target Improved Colorectal Cancer Outcomes for American Indians

TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona Cancer Center has received a $3 million, three-year award from the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Cancer Moonshot Initiative to increase colorectal cancer screening in Arizona’s American Indian communities.
