Dr. Swazo Named Latest Bressler-Alpert Society Travel Award Winner

Dr. Roberto Swazo, a resident in the University of Arizona Internal Medicine Residency Program – South Campus, is the third person this academic year to win a Bressler-Alpert Society Travel Award. He’ll present his research at the 47th Critical Care Congress of the Society of Critical Care Medicine in San Antonio in February. After a national search, Dr. Jennifer Barton has been named director of the UA BIO5 Institute. A professor of biomedical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, optical sciences, and agricultural and biosystems engineering, she joined the UA faculty in 1998.
