Dr. Tom Boyer, immediate past chair of the University of Arizona Department of Medicine, founding director of the UA Thomas D. Boyer Liver Institute and a world leader on research and care of the liver, died on Thursday, Jan. 11, at his home in Tucson after a long battle with cancer. UA Health Sciences sent a “Construction Notice” memo Jan. 5 that Banner – University Medical Center completed vacating the outpatient clinics (OPCs) within UAHS Building 201, which also houses the UA College of Medicine – Tucson—specifically on floors 2 and 4 through 8.
