Latest Bressler-Alpert Society Travel Award Winner to Present at ASCO Annual Meeting

DOM with Block A at Banner - UMC Tucson and Banner - UMC SouthBryce Perkins, DO, a resident physician in the University of Arizona Internal Medicine Residency Program – University Campus, is the latest recipient of a Bressler-Alpert Society Travel Award.

Bryce D. Perkins, DODr. Perkins will use the stipend to attend the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s 2019 ASCO Annual Meeting in Chicago, May 31-June 4, 2019, to present on his research, “Rare Tumor with Matched Germline Whole Exome Sequencing Identifies Somatic and Inherited Variants of Clinical Significance.”

The Bressler-Alpert Society Travel Award was created August 2012 through the generosity of current and former faculty and alumni of the UA Department of Medicine. The award, named for former department chairs Ruben Bressler, MD (1976-1992) and Joseph Alpert, MD (1992-2006), supports the educational mission of the department by funding travel for residents and fellows engaging in high quality research and presenting their findings at academic meetings.
