Congratulations to new faculty and recently promoted faculty in the University of Arizona Department of Medicine and beyond who were recognized Wednesday, Aug. 14, in the first UA College of Medicine – Tucson General Faculty Meeting hosted in the Health Sciences Innovation Building.

All such previous faculty meetings have been held in Kiewit Auditorium, pointed out Irving Kron, MD, the college’s interim dean, senior associate vice president, University of Arizona Health Sciences, and a professor of surgery.

Others affiliated with the department also promoted include Julie Ledford, PhD, promoted to associate professor in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine—who also is a research partner with DOM Chair Monica Kraft, MD; Jarrod Mosier, MD, promoted to associate professor with tenure—who also serves as associate program director for the Critical Care Fellowship in the UA Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine; and Erika Bracamonte, MD, promoted to professor in the UA Department of Pathology—and who also serves as renal biopsy service director, teaches Microscope Rounds and presents regularly on behalf of the Divisions of Nephrology and Rheumatology.
