Several colleges at the University of Arizona Health Sciences increased their National Institutes of Health funding in 2022-2023, leading to a strong showing overall in the annual Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research rankings.

The University of Arizona Health Sciences received nearly $137 million in National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding in 2021-2022 and advanced in several categories in the recently released Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research national rankings.
The National Institutes of Health awarded more than $133 million in grants to University of Arizona Health Sciences researchers in 2020-2021.
