UA-Hosted Seminar on Fatty Tissue Disorders Converted to Online Course Worth 3.5 CMEs

The University of Arizona Treatment, Research and Education of Adipose Tissue (TREAT) Program has taken a free seminar hosted for health care providers last fall and converted it to an online course worth the same 3.5 continuing medical education (CME) hours. Like the seminar, the course is supported by the Lipedema Foundation, which funded creation of the TREAT Program. The course, developed by Drs. Karen Herbst and Elle Ross, helps clinicians learn how to recognize this most common form of fatty or adipose tissue disorder, diagnosis it and the latest research and treatment options…

C. Kent Kwoh, MD, chief of the University of Arizona Division of Rheumatology, director of the UA Arthritis Center and holder of the Charles A.L. and Suzanne M.
