To protect you and the University of Arizona against cybersecurity threats, NetID+, the university’s two-step authentication service will be required for all online application logins that need UA WebAuth confirmation whether for on campus, mobile or offsite use. New March 8 DOM Research Seminar Lineup Focuses on Biomarkers in Lung, Heart Muscle Disease

Dr. Jil Tardiff, a UA Sarver Heart Center cardiologist, replaces Dr. Yves Lussier for the UA Department of Medicine Research Seminar, noon-1 p.m., Thurs., March 8, in COM-T Room 5403. She’ll discuss her research on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The other speaker for this seminar, Dr. Stefano Guerra, a pulmonary epidemiologist with the UA Asthma & Airway Disease Research Center, will talk on his research to end persistence of asthma into adulthood. UA’s Dr. Esther Sternberg and Dr. Casey Lindberg Presenters at CDC Webinar, ‘Physical Work Environments and Individual Health Outcomes,’ Feb. 28 Drs. Sternberg and Lindberg are two of six presenters at the live webcast, part of the CDC’s Design For Health series that explores mechanisms to optimize the built environment for health. The webinar is free and open to the public.

‘Let’s Talk About the Brain,’ Free Public Lecture, March 13 Explore the “universe” of the brain at an evening of TED Talk-style lectures featuring three University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson researchers discussing their work involving pain, autism and emotions.
