The University of Arizona’s Valley Fever Center for Excellence in Tucson and Phoenix will host special events during the 11th annual Valley Fever Awareness Week, with two appearances by U.S. Rep. David Schweikert, R-Ariz., co-chairman of the Congressional Valley Fever Task Force, who will help promote community awareness of the disease and its impacts.
The Donald W. Reynolds Foundation grant will ensure that hospitalized older adults will be cared for by specialists who have been trained to meet the unique health-care needs of older adults.
The study will use virtual-reality-based exercise combining balance training and a Yoga meditation technique, “Kirtan Kriya.”
