Several dozen University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and Banner – University Medicine faculty, clinicians and staff gathered Feb. 22 on the front lawn of the Banner – University Medical Center Tucson campus front lawn in celebration of the hospital’s best U.S.
On Feb. 21, Banner Health announced to its boards, employees and physicians that Larry M. Goldberg will become president of Banner – University Medicine effective April 30. He replaces the current president, Kathy Bollinger, who will delay her retirement until the end of May to ensure a smooth transition for Banner’s Tucson and Phoenix academic medical centers.

This past fall sped by so quickly it was difficult to keep track of all the fabulous events occurring across the University of Arizona Health Sciences campus.
Bethany Moore, PhD, a professor in the Division of Microbiology and Immunobiology at the University of Michigan, gave a spirited talk on “Innate and Adaptive Immunity and Pulmonary Complications post-Stem Cell Transplant” as a guest speaker Feb. 21 in the University of Arizona Medicine Grand Rounds.
